Planning Day Workshop

We provide what has become a very popular industry engagement training program. The broad aims of the program are to build participants skills, processes and confidence in securing research income from industry. The program draws upon our first-hand experience and considerable success in securing research income from industry and other partners. 

Education - The program has a strong educational component. We take a ‘building block’ approach, where each session builds on the last and progressively takes participants through each of the key elements of their industry engagement process.

Skills development - As part of this approach, we have a significant professional development component where the key personality traits and skills required are explained, demonstrated and practised by participants, typically in front of their peers. This approach helps to engage participants as well as provides participants with practical skills needed for industry engagement. 

Real project - The program is applied to real projects that have industry funding potential and culminates with the project team presenting their project to a mock industry partner or other investors. 

An outcome of the program is that participants leave with a robust and market-tested plan for securing partner funding.
