Challenge

The Aitkenhead Centre for Medical Discovery (ACMD) needed a forecasting tool to demonstrate the benefits of medical technology investments to diverse stakeholders, including hospitals, manufacturers, and government. The challenge was to design a user-friendly tool capable of producing evidence-based economic forecasts for multiple medtech solutions.

Approach

CIS collaborated with ACMD and other stakeholders to design a benefits forecasting tool that met defined and agreed upon criteria and needs of multiple stakeholders including hospitals, MedTech manufacturers and the Victorian Government.

CIS designed and developed an easy-to-use interface, enabling summary impact forecast reports using automated complex calculations.

Outcome

The tool was successfully delivered, meeting deadlines and adapting to evolving scope. ACMD reported a high-quality product, strong communication, and a collaborative working relationship. The tool now provides med-tech companies with evidence-based forecasts to strengthen investment proposals.
