Challenge
Austeng, a specialist engineering company, wanted to demonstrate the commercial viability of integrating green hydrogen into high-temperature industrial furnaces. Coordinating multiple stakeholders across Australia and Singapore, and securing funding through the Go Green Co-Innovation Program (GGCIP), required a compelling application backed by strong technical and market evidence.
Approach
Building on Austeng’s prior demonstration of green hydrogen integration into industrial furnaces, CIS convened targeted meetings between Austeng and Singapore-based SunGreen Hydrogen (SGH2) to explore SGH2’s modular, scalable electrolyser technology and its safe application in industrial settings. These discussions expanded to include Deakin University and Swinburne University, whose expertise in electrolyser testing and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy, respectively, strengthened the technical foundation of the application.
CIS conducted market analysis and policy research to assess the opportunity landscape and developed a compelling narrative to support Austeng’s funding request. The application was successful, securing over $350,000 to advance the project.
Outcome
The application was successful, securing over $350,000 in funding, and enabling Austeng to advance its demonstration of green hydrogen integration, supported by a strong consortium and a clear commercialisation pathway.
“CIS delivered exceptional service throughout the process,…producing a submission that met the highest standards, on time, and with unwavering positivity. Their dedication and professionalism went well above and beyond our expectations.” Lyn George, Corporate Director
