Craig Lofts

Craig is a senior strategy and transformation professional with 20+ years of experience leading business improvement, and strategic program delivery across government, fintech, higher education, research, property, and for-purpose sectors. He has a proven ability to design and drive strategy and transformation programs end to end - translating strategic plans into executable programs, engaging stakeholders at all levels, embedding new ways of working, and producing decision-ready outputs that enable senior leaders to act with clarity and confidence.


Craig has extensive experience in the higher education, research and innovation sector. He has completed numerous operating model improvement projects for universities and market assessments for new education offerings. He has particular expertise in capital works business cases and innovation precinct planning having advised state governments, universities and property developers. Craig has supported development of numerous funding applications for new ventures and research grants, including the successful Cyber Security CRC.


Craig has had a successful career in strategy consulting with over 2 years at CIS and over 10 years at Strategic Project Partners (SPP) and subsequently was Head of Group Strategy & Planning at PEXA Group, an ASX200 company, where he led the business planning function during a CEO transition. Earlier in his career, Craig worked in automotive manufacturing and was a property economist with Urbis.


Craig holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School (Dean's Award, top 10%), a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours — Economics), a Bachelor of Arts and a Graduate Diploma of Education.
