Karen has over 6 years’ experience in management consulting. She is a fully qualified CPA Australia with deep expertise in economic modelling, impact assessment, financial analysis, strategy development and risk management. Beyond her financial and analytical expertise, Karen possesses outstanding written and technical skills, enabling her to produce high-quality reports and presentations tailored to diverse audiences. She is particularly adept at graphic design and concept development, allowing her to present complex information in visually compelling and easily digestible formats.
She plays a key role at CIS in the delivery of complex impact assessment projects, where she leads analytical and quantitative components such as financial and economic impact modelling, cash budget development, and preparation of financial tables. She also makes a significant contribution to funding applications, helping to secure support for Cooperative Research Centres (CRCs) such as the Sovereign Manufacturing Automation for Composites CRC (SoMac CRC) and the Additive Manufacturing CRC (AMCRC). Before joining CIS, Karen worked at Ernst & Young for three years as a Senior Management Consultant. There, she advised clients across multiple industries on business process improvement, internal control optimisation, and large-scale program cost-benefit analysis.
Karen works across a diverse client base, including education and research organisations, as well as stakeholders in agriculture, horticulture, renewable energy, manufacturing, technology, and government sectors.
Karen holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Melbourne, where she achieved High Distinction in all subjects and received multiple academic awards. She also has an undergraduate degree in Management Science and Engineering, with a specialisation in Supply Chain Management.
