Peter Radoll

Associate

Peter Radoll is a proud Anaiwan man and a nationally recognised leader in Indigenous science, digital inclusion, and research governance. For more than two decades, he has worked to embed Indigenous Knowledges across Australia’s scientific, educational and policy systems, shaping programs and strategies that strengthen Indigenous leadership and participation.


A collaborative systems thinker, Peter specialises in Indigenous governance, research strategy, STEM education, and digital equity. His work brings together universities, government, industry and communities to design culturally grounded, high-impact initiatives that create long-term change.


Peter has contributed to major national frameworks, including serving on the expert working group for Inspiring Australia: Indigenous Engagement with Science and co-designing its implementation strategy. He has held influential advisory roles with the CSIRO Indigenous Young Women’s STEM Academy, the CSIRO Indigenous Knowledges Reference Group, and the Australian Research Data Commons, where he championed Indigenous data sovereignty and ethical research infrastructure.


He founded the Australian Science Media Centre’s Indigenous Media Science Expert Training Program - an Australian first - which has trained more than 90 Indigenous scientists in media engagement. He also secured the CSIRO ASSETS program for the University of Newcastle, delivering culturally grounded STEM pathways for high-achieving Indigenous students.


As founder and Managing Director of Radoll & Associates, Peter leads strategic projects that elevate Indigenous Knowledges within universities and research organisations, including La Trobe University’s Indigenous Knowledge in the Curriculum Framework and Swinburne University’s Indigenous Research Strategy.


Peter holds a PhD in Information Systems from the Australian National University. His career reflects a steadfast commitment to an inclusive, sovereign and future-focused research landscape led by Indigenous knowledge holders and innovators shaping Australia’s scientific and digital futures.
